Closer Than You Think.

After years of long trips to far-off areas. Searching for the perfect breakfast and some incredible images to take home and share. My wife and I decided elected to stay home and do nothing. Following a midday nap. I noticed some construction gear a few feet from our patio. After decades of chasing down pictures and traveling for hours to track down that spot. You know, that one that will take your photography to new heights. (Okay. I’m exaggerating a bit.) Without taking more than a few steps outside. The picture of the day awaited. I took this shot from a few different angles as well as with and without flash. In the end, preferring the straight on view with the flash facing the sky. Have you ever found your bucket list shot right outside your door. If so, don’t hesitate to share.

Closer Than You Might Think

It’s not every day I find such gold within spitting distance from my home base, but when I do, it’s just as much of a thrill, if not more than having to put it in the time and mileage often required. And while I’m thrilled to share some of the bounty from today’s excursion. I’m going to remain tight-lipped and secretive about its location. Hopefully there’s someone out there that enjoys this type of thing as much as I do.tower-1-1-of-1

Industrial

My passion for finding and photographing industrial articles is pretty insane. Many is the time I’ve gone to factories and industrial parks to find those pieces that peak my interest and curiosity. One of my dreams in life is to buy an industrial loft somewhere in Brooklyn. Not one of those completely converted ones they advertise with such glee. Something raw and bare that has character. A raw canvas craving for a creative and twisted makeover. A few years back I presented a portfolio entitled “Left Behind.” to  SOHO Photo Gallery. They fully understood the message I was trying to convey and granted me admission to the COOP. Since then I’ve worked hard to find  pieces to update and refresh that port. Often being chased out of construction sites, being questioned/detained by Police or both. But for me, the reward outweighs the hassle. I didn’t get into any such shenanigans capturing the ones below. But I enjoyed taking them just the same.
